Starting Primary School in 2017
Reception Admissions 2017
If you live in Haringey and your child was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 you will need to apply for a reception place at infant or primary school for September 2017.
If you live outside Haringey you can still apply for schools in Haringey but you must list them on the form of your own local authority.
Please note: if your child is at nursery, they will not automatically continue into the reception year at the school where they attend nursery class - you must apply for a reception place.
We strongly recommend that you apply online for a school place (external website). You can access the internet for free at any Haringey library and you can change your application at any point up until the closing date.
Haringey residents should follow the steps below to apply for a reception place.

Changing your address: once you are resident at your new address you must contact us immediately in writing or by email and provide proofs of your new address. Your child’s record will be updated if you provide proofs of your new address before the 10 February 2017. If we receive the information after 10 February 2017 we will not be able to update your home to school distances until after 18 April.
We will not accept a temporary address if you still possess a property that was previously used as a home address, nor will we accept a temporary address if it is used solely or mainly to obtain a school place. For more information on the address we will use for your child's application, please refer to page 11 in the Primary admissions booklet.
