Haringey’s Voluntary Sector Strategy 2011-2016 and Commissioning and Funding Framework Guide
The term 'Voluntary Sector' encompasses the Community Sector, the Third Sector and Social Enterprise.
Haringey has a thriving and active voluntary sector that provides a range of services to the local community. We recognise the important contribution made by the voluntary sector to improve the overall health and well-being of the residents of the borough.
After consultation with the Sector, we have developed a strategy for the voluntary sector in Haringey. This strategy sets out the priorities and objectives for the council in working with the voluntary sector over the next few years.

The Commissioning and Funding Framework
After consultation with the Sector during the summer of 2011, the draft framework has been revised to reflect the views of voluntary organisations in Haringey.
From now on, the funding of Haringey’s voluntary sector will be aligned to a new commissioning and funding framework, which will be the vehicle to drive vision of the Voluntary Sector Strategy forward.
The new framework will act as a tool to help the council seek best and added value for money and high quality services for residents and encourage all partners in Haringey to find new, innovative, effective and efficient ways to make best use of the resources available.
