A Celebration of Haringey's White Ribbon Campaign
- Thursday 30 November 2017, 5pm-6.30pm
Haringey Council will be holding an event at Tottenham Town Hall on 30 November as part of the 16 Days of Action against Gender Violence - to celebrate the partnership working with men and women from across the community to achieve the White Ribbon Local Authority Award.
The White Ribbon Campaign is an international campaign to encourage men and boys to work with women to end violence and women and girls (VAWG). Haringey's White Ribbon steering group has been working towards achieving this award since November 2016. This is a key part of our 10-year VAWG strategy to develop a coordinated community response model to ending violence against women and girls.
It is also an opportunity for us to celebrate the work that our White Ribbon Ambassadors have carried out across the borough to mobilise boys and men against VAWG. The event will include a range of performances, speakers and activities and is open to all residents and professionals across Haringey.
Places are limited, so make sure to register your place on the Eventbrite website (external llink).
