Councillor Joseph Ejiofor
The Leader is elected every four years by all members of the council.
The Leader chairs meetings of the council’s Cabinet - the main decision making group on the council - and leads on council policy development and implementation, and on Haringey’s communication with central government.
The Leader agrees the council’s Forward Plan, which maps out when key decisions will be made by the Cabinet.
His role also involves working with the council’s partners on statutory bodies such as the NHS, the voluntary sector and the business community.
