Mayor's Special Fund Appeal 2017/18
As Mayor I want to try and make a difference for Mental Health in the borough which is why I am making the theme for my charity work this year Mental Health and Wellbeing in Haringey.
In particular I will be supporting Studio 306 Collective who are based in the Chocolate Factory in Wood Green and MIND in Haringey, who will be recipients of the Mayor’s Special Fund.
Studio 306 (external link) specialise in designing handcrafted high quality ceramics, jewellery, textiles and screen printed products and the aim of the studio is to empower disadvantaged local individuals by offering a creative space for those who are recovering from mental illness. Here they can rediscover forgotten skills, develop new ones and boost their confidence within a working environment. Their saying is “Recovery through Creativity”.
Mind in Haringey (external link) provides information, advice and support to people affected by mental health problems. They work to prevent mental health problems, promote mental wellbeing and ensure those experiencing a mental health problem are respected and included in our local community.
If you wish to make a donation please make cheques payable to the Mayor’s Special Fund and send to:

A very small proportion of the money donated to the Mayors Special Fund may occasionally be used to fund elements of fundraising events arranged in order to increase the overall income of the fund.
