Cabinet in the Community: Tackling the cost of living crisis
Haringey Council's cabinet were in Northumberland Park on Tuesday afternoon for a Cabinet in the Community event, bringing together representatives from Haringey's voluntary and community sector to discuss the cost of living crisis and how organisations can work together with the council to meet residents’ needs.
This was the latest in our series of Cabinet in Community events, which give cabinet members the opportunity to actively engage with local stakeholders on a range of important topics. Recent events have also looked at issues such as the climate emergency and the rights and wellbeing of migrants and refugees.
This event featured representatives from a wide range of voluntary and community sector organisations from across the borough, who discussed the common challenges they face as prices rise and increasing numbers of residents turn to them for support.
Cabinet members listened to their concerns, and discussed ways that we can work together to meet residents' needs at this challenging time.
