Colourful new look for Maya Angelou Family Centre
A contact centre for children and families here in Haringey is all set to have a colourful, new look as the finishing touches are put on the first phase of a terrific transformation project.
Renowned artist WOSKerski has created a marvellous mural at the Maya Angelou Family Centre in Winkfield Road, Wood Green, with the late American civil rights activist and poet featuring among the birds, books and clouds in an almost ethereal scene.
The mural forms part of a range of improvement and refurbishment works at the centre, with the contact rooms and reception area following suit in due course.
Cllr Zena Brabazon, Haringey Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families, paid a visit to the centre today (Thursday 8 September 2022) to check out the awe-inspiring artwork.
