Help shape leisure centre provision in Haringey

Help us improve our leisure centres

Residents across Haringey are being urged to help shape future provision at leisure centres in the borough after the council announced it will be taking back control of these facilities.

An engagement exercise has been launched today (Monday 12 February 2024) giving residents the opportunity to feedback about facilities, gyms and pools at Broadwater Farm Community Centre, Park Road Pools & Fitness and Tottenham Green Pools & Fitness ahead of the end of Fusion Lifestyle’s contract, which is expected by the beginning of October 2024.

As part of the Haringey Deal and the council’s commitment to working with residents to co-design and co-produce projects and outcomes that benefit everybody and help build a fairer, greener borough, it is fundamentally important residents have their say on services intended for their physical benefit and mental wellbeing.

The voices of Haringey residents will then shape how the council goes about providing the best service for them and manages its leisure facilities going forward.

Haringey Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Leisure, Cllr Emily Arkell, said: “Access to high-quality fitness and wellbeing services at our leisure centres is really important to our residents, along with the benefits that this provides them across our borough.

“Our long-term ambition remains to deliver a high-quality leisure and wellbeing service which gives residents access to the full range of support they need to live active and healthy lives.

“We are keen to hear from our residents on what type of support they’d most benefit from and any on-site improvements they’d like to see at Broadwater Farm, Park Road and Tottenham Green in the future.”
