Join Haringey's Mayor in flying a flag for the Commonwealth
Haringey will join 60 other councils and international neighbours including Jamaica, Belize, Malaysia and New Zealand to raise the Commonwealth flag on Fly a Flag National Commonwealth Day.
The event on Monday 13 March will feature a greeting from the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Ali Ozbek, highlighting the importance of unity across all cultures, as well as a reading of the Commonwealth affirmation by Deputy Lieutenant Peter Baker, and a short blessing from Father Simon Clark.
All are welcome to attend this free event to celebrate the values of friendship and cooperation that the Commonwealth upholds. The event will be held by the flagpole of the Civic Centre on Wood Green High Road N22 from 9.50am, after which tea and coffee will be served for guests.
