The latest in our series of Weeks of Action is set to get underway on Monday in Hermitage and Gardens, where crime and antisocial behaviour are among the key issues to be addressed by Haringey Council.

The Week of Action will take place from 29 January - 4 February, and will focus on Hermitage and Gardens ward.

Activities will include joint patrols by the police and the council’s antisocial behaviour and waste enforcement teams.

There will also be youth engagement sessions from Haringey Community Gold, community engagement work from the council’s hate crime prevention team and inspections by the council’s Parking Enforcement, Planning Enforcement, Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Private Sector Housing teams.

There will be a hub each weekday at the entrance to Haringey Retail Park* (*except on Tuesday 30 January 2024, when the hub will be located at Stamp Brasserie on Green Lanes), giving opportunities for residents to discuss any issues or concerns they have with council staff.

Following resident feedback from previous weeks of action, we will be organising hubs at different times throughout the week to give more residents the chance to engage. A full timetable for the hubs is below:

  • Monday 29 January, 11am - 1pm at Haringey Retail Park
  • Tuesday 30 January, 1pm - 3pm at Stamp Brasserie
  • Wednesday 31 January, 11am - 1pm at Haringey Retail Park
  • Thursday 1 February, 1pm - 3pm at Haringey Retail Park
  • Friday 2 February, 11am - 1pm at Haringey Retail Park

Haringey Council coordinates the Week of Action to take place on a bi-monthly basis, each one targeting a different area of the borough. Previous weeks of action have taken place in Bruce Grove, Crouch End, Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Northumberland Park, South Tottenham, Stroud Green, Tottenham Hale, Turnpike Lane and Wood Green.
