Transport Accessibility

Transport for London (TfL) has information about accessibility and assistance available for disabled people on buses, tubes and trains.

Disabled Persons Freedom Pass

The Freedom Pass provides free travel in Greater London on the Underground, Docklands Light Railway, Croydon Tramlink, National Rail services and on local bus services anywhere in England

Taxicard

Taxicard is a service that allows Haringey residents, with a mobility impairment that prevents them using buses or trains, to travel in licensed radio taxis or black cabs at lower rates.

Dial-a-Ride

Dial-a-Ride membership is open to people with a permanent or long-term disability which prevents them using scheduled public transport services.

Blue Badge Parking Scheme

The European Blue Badge Parking Scheme is a permit that allows people with severe walking difficulties to park close to their destination, such as shops and stations.

Disabled Person's Railcard

If you are disabled, you can get a disabled person's railcard, which means you can save money on rail fares for yourself and a friend. You can also get information if you need assistance when travelling by train.

Disabled Coachcard

If you are disabled you can get a Disabled Coachcard which means you save money on National Express coach fares.

GOV.UK

The GOV.UK website offers information on disabled people and transport, including using public transport, vehicle tax exemptions, car adaptations, the Motability Scheme and the Blue Badge Scheme.

Older Persons Freedom Pass

Senior Railcard

If you're 60 or over, you can save money on most Standard and First Class rail fares throughout Great Britain for a whole year with a Senior Railcard.

National Express discount

If you are 60 or over you qualify for a Senior Coachcard, which means you can travel at reduced prices on most National Express services in England and Wales.

Transport for London

Transport for London manages public transport in London. It offers maps, routes, ticket information and timetables for bus services in Haringey.

You can also use their Journey planner to find out the quickest and easiest way of getting from A to B.
