Haringey libraries are hosting festive fun for everyone!

There’s lots of free, festive and fun activities and events for all the family taking place in Haringey libraries in the run-up to Christmas.

There are Christmas craft events at Muswell Hill Library on Tuesdays (3:45pm-4:45pm, except Tuesday 30 December 2025 – Suitable for ages 3+), and Stroud Green and Harringay Library on Mondays (3:30pm-4:30pm, Suitable for ages 5+).

Haringey children can also create their very own lively, pop-up Christmas card for someone they really care about at St Ann’s Library on Wednesday 17 December 2025 (4pm-5pm, Suitable for ages 5-12).

Other festive-themed, fun and free arts and crafts sessions in Haringey libraries this month include:

Friday 5 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm) A fun Christmas mobile, which includes a Christmas Tree, Father Christmas, Angels and other Christmas/seasonal decorations, at Hornsey Library (Suitable for ages 3+)

Saturday 6 December 2025 (11am-1pm): Snowman card at Coombes Croft Library (Suitable for ages 4-12)

Saturday 6 December 2025 (2pm-3pm): Christmas card at Highgate Library (Suitable for ages 3-10)

Saturday 6 December 2025 (10:45am-11:45am): Lolly stick Christmas tree decoration at Marcus Garvey Library (Suitable for ages 0-10)

Monday 8 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): 3D Nativity scene at Stroud Green and Harringay Library (Suitable for ages 5+)

Wednesday 10 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Santa door hanger (with holiday cheer!) at Hornsey Library (Suitable for ages 3+)

Thursday 11 December 2025 (3:30pm-5pm): Paper baubles to hang on your tree and decorate a sparkly snowflake at Coombes Croft Library (Suitable for all ages)

Saturday 13 December 2025 (11am-1pm): Christmas tree card at Coombes Croft Library (Suitable for ages 4-12)

Saturday 13 December 2025 (2pm-4pm): Christmas tree decorations at Highgate Library (Suitable for ages 3-10). Mince pies and mulled wine for adults from the Friends of Highgate Library

Monday 15 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Eskimo friends at Stroud Green and Harringay Library (Suitable for ages 5+)

Thursday 18 December 2025 (3:30pm-5pm): Moveable paper angel and/or elf at Coombes Croft Library (Suitable for all ages)

Thursday 18 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Paper plate Christmas trees at Marcus Garvey Library (Suitable for ages 4+)

Friday 19 December 2025 (3pm-4pm): A Kwanzaa paper plate at Hornsey Library (Suitable for ages 3+)

Saturday 20 December 2025 (11am-1pm): Santa card at Coombes Croft Library (Suitable for ages 4-12)

Saturday 20 December 2025 (10:45am-11:45am): Christmas card for your loved ones, family and friends at Marcus Garvey Library (Suitable for ages 0-10)

Monday 22 December 2025 (3:30pm-4:30pm): Penguin family and a chilly home for them at Stroud Green and Harringay Library (Suitable for ages 5+)

Hornsey Library will be hosting a Christmas Story Time and a Christmas Carols Rhyme Time on Tuesday 9 December 2025 (10:30am-11am) and Thursday 18 December 2025 (10:30am-11am) respectively.

You can also catch a selection of Monday Morning Movies at 10am in Muswell Hill Library this month, with screenings of The Snow Queen (2012, Certificate: U, Running Time: 72 minutes) and The Snow Queen 2: Magic of the Ice Mirror (2014, Certificate: U, Running Time: 75 minutes) on 8 December and 15 December 2025 respectively and The Nutcracker Sweet (2016, Certificate: U, Running Time: 77 minutes) showing on 22 December 2025.

Meanwhile, St Ann’s Library will be holding a festive gathering on Saturday 20 December 2025 (1pm-3pm), when local residents can meet up with the new staff and get to know your community neighbours.

There will be plenty of fun children’s activities to enjoy, hot drinks, mince pies and carol singing as well!
