Haringey is once again spearheading Great Mental Health Day with a range of celebrations and support for our residents.

This significant initiative, which began right here in Haringey in 2021 and is now London-wide, has reached its fifth birthday — an incredible milestone. Have a read of Thrive LDN’s blog about the milestone.

In Haringey, events supporting better mental health range from mindfulness sessions and walks to day trips and coffee mornings to allow people to connect with one another.

Cllr Lucia das Neves, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care & Wellbeing, said:

“This year’s Great Mental Health Day theme is ‘everyday spaces’ – the informal sanctuaries where connection happens and support begins. We know that Haringey is built upon community spaces such as these, and we will continue to support them.

“We are delighted that this vital initiative, which started here in Haringey, has reached its fifth birthday this year. Supporting better mental health for all has been a mainstay of our work in Haringey, and we are proud to see this now taking place London-wide.”
