Leader pays tribute to former Mayor

Everyone at Haringey Council was saddened to hear the news that former Mayor of Haringey, Stephen Mann, has passed away.

Stephen was elected on the 17th of September 2015 to serve as a Noel Park councillor and was Mayor between 22 May 2017 and 24 May 2018.

Leader, Cllr Peray Ahmet, said:

I was shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of our former councillor and Mayor of Haringey, Stephen Mann.

Stephen was a hugely popular figure and well respected throughout the community having been a long term resident in Hornsey and a ward councillor in Noel Park.

I know he was so proud to become Mayor and carried out his duties with pride and honour.

He did so much for the people around him and raised significant funds for his two Mayoral charities - Mind in Haringey and Studio 306.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Stephen’s family and friends at this sad time. He will never be forgotten.
