Tricky Period
We’re pleased that Tricky Period is back in Haringey Libraries to help make period products easily accessible to those in need in our community - no questions asked. Tricky Period is a Period Poverty initiative developed by grassroots homelessness group Streets Kitchen, working to ensure that period products are available to all.
Need for these products was already high before the pandemic, but since the advent of COVID-19 and the resultant effect on the economy and employment, more and more vulnerable young women are finding it increasingly difficult to access the essentials they require.
If you need period products free of charge, you can attend any of Haringey’s libraries and collect them from our Tricky Period pick-up points.
Our libraries are COVID-secure and all products have been quarantined before being made available for collection. Simply attend a library, request a product from library staff and they will put them in a bag for you, whilst wearing a mask and gloves.
