Over 50s can now book COVID-19 vaccine appointment online
From today (17 March), everyone aged 50 years and over can now book their COVID-19 vaccine appointment as the NHS continues to widen the eligibility. People in this age group do not need to wait for an invitation letter from the NHS and can book an appointment online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination (external link) or by calling 119 for free.
More than 24.8 million people across the UK have now received their first dose of the vaccine. The NHS is continuing to follow the official advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and is vaccinating those most at risk first, and those who work closest with them, followed by the wider population in order of risk and age.
