Re-opening of leisure facilities in Haringey
Adult lane swimming and outdoor group exercise classes will return to Fusion Lifestyle centres across the borough from today (Monday 29 March), with advanced bookings having gone live on Thursday (25 March).
The centres will be operating in line with the latest Government guidelines and those planning to visit will be required to book and pay online – thereby minimising contact at the centre and allowing for the Track and Trace process to be implemented. Centre users will be asked to arrive with their costumes under their clothes or ready to exercise.
These measures, combined with meticulous cleaning routines, are designed to keep customers safe and offer complete confidence to use the facilities and attend classes.
Fusion is working with Haringey Council to reopen other facilities in the borough in a phased approach in line with the Government roadmap.
Anthony Cawley, Director of Operations at Fusion, said:
We are really excited we will be able to start welcoming the local community back to our centres, starting with outdoor activities from 29 March. We know how much the nation has missed swimming and group exercise and we’re delighted to be amongst the first to offer these. We know how important our leisure facilities are for the health and wellbeing of the local community, so we’ll be doing our best to offer the choice of as many outdoor options as we can while we are waiting to open more facilities.
Booking can be made up to seven days in advance via the Fusion Lifestyle app or by visiting the Fusion Lifestyle website (external link) and registering to use the booking facility. For centre opening times and timetables, please visit:
