About workspaces in Haringey

Our commitment to developing new and affordable workspaces for Haringey businesses.

A modern workspace meeting room

(Clockwise in Wood Green)

As set out in Opportunity Haringey, our inclusive economy framework, we recognise the value of accessible, affordable high quality workspaces in creating a resilient, vibrant and prosperous economy. We are committed to supporting the increase in quantity and quality of workspaces in the borough.

Haringey has a diverse ecosystem of businesses operating in the creative, music, food production, green skills and health and social care sectors who occupy workspaces, including co-working spaces and shared offices.

Developers, land and property owners, investors, and workspace providers are encouraged to explore a wide range of resources designed to support the creation and growth of workspace across the borough, including:

  • Information on demand and market viability is outlined in the Haringey Workspace Study undertaken by Avison Young in 2022.
  • Information on available funding opportunities to assist with the financial aspects of workspace projects.
  • Detailed design guidance to support the development of high-quality, inclusive, and functional workspaces.
  • The Affordable Workspace Provider Network, which is a list bringing together over 20 providers actively seeking to establish or expand in the area to support developers in meeting their planning obligations. All providers have expressed interest in operating affordable workspace in all or part of developments in Haringey.
  • The Workspace Providers Forum, which brings together existing workspace providers in the borough to further strengthen collaboration and knowledge-sharing, and support existing workspaces to remain resilient and contribute to the borough’s evolving workspace and business landscape.
