What happens after you apply for the Haringey Youth Fund

Part of: Haringey Youth Fund

What happens after you apply

When we get your application, we carry out checks with relevant council departments.

We aim to process your application and make a decision within 3 to 5 working days. You'll get our decision by email.

We may also tell you about other available support and pass on the young person’s details to other departments in the Council for this.

If you do not hear from us within 5 working days, check your junk email folder before contacting us.

How the money’s paid

Depending on the individual circumstances, the award is paid either:

  • direct to the young person
  • to the young person’s parent or guardian
  • by BACS directly to the service that referred the young person
  • to the support service that referred the young person by journal to their cost centre

If you disagree with our decision

There’s no appeal rights to an independent tribunal.

If you’re not happy with our decision, you can email us and ask us to look at your case again. You must do this within 5 days of the date on the decision email.

Your request must:

  • be in writing
  • say the reasons why you want a review
  • be signed and dated

We’ll email you within 14 working days of getting your review request. This decision is final.
