You can request to see information we hold by completing our online FOI request form.

You have the right to access a lot of the information and data we hold. This is governed by:

  • the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000
  • the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR)

What happens next

Once we receive you request we will:

  • acknowledge your request within 5 working days
  • give you the information, or the reasons why we cannot, within 20 working days
  • respond within 20 working days to complaints about the information we provided or our failure to provide it

Refusing your request

We may sometimes refuse your request. Examples where this may happen include:

  • because the information is personal or commercially sensitive
  • it would take us 18 hours or more to provide the information

Requesting personal information

Personal information is protected by the Data Protection Act. If you (or someone acting on your behalf) wants to access personal information we hold about you, you must make a subject access request.
