In the turbulent 1980's, a group of activists formed the Black Lesbian and Gay Centre project to source a safe space for London's black LGBTQ community. They faced many challenges along the way, and it took years of struggle.
'Under your Nose' is their story. This year marks 40 years since they started their journey. We are honoured to have some of those activists in attendance. Please join us in celebrating their achievement and hear about their experiences.
The film will be introduced by Director, Veronica McKenzie, followed by a Q&A with Dennis Carney, Savi Hensmen, Dirg Aab Richards and Femi Otitoju.
