On Wednesday 18 March, the Haringey Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra will be performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue alongside acclaimed professional pianist and HYM Symphony Orchestra alumna, Ivana Gavrić. Born into a musical family in Sarajevo, and raised in the UK, Ivana was a member of the HYM Symphony Orchestra from 1994 to 1998 and is now a professional concert pianist who has performed with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia.
The concert will include other works including Sibelius’ Finlandia, and Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto performed by Nahuel Angius-Thomas, Principal Bassoon of the National Youth Orchestra. The concert will take place at St James, Muswell Hill, starting at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm).
