
Haringey Community Collaborative is pleased to partner with Outcome Islington Mind to deliver this free training, to build knowledge and awareness on supporting the lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and intersex (LGBTQI+) community.
This is a free training session for all professionals working in care and support services. Spend 90 minutes online to understand suicide risks and prevention strategies for the LGBTQI+ community.
Who this is for: staff and volunteers who support LGBTQI+ adults who may present to your service in distress.
What you will learn:
- data and causes for high risks in this community
- vulnerable groups within the LGBTQI+ community
- LGBTQI+ inclusive language and communication to create a welcoming environment and to listen to people in distress, using peer support model
