Artists’ Jam – Inspired by Local Stories

We welcome writers, producers, songwriters, visual artists, and musicians who want to explore how local stories influence their artistic practice and generate new material. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a commitment to engage throughout the workshop.

Date and time: Saturday, 28 February 2026, 1 to 4pm (We’ll start gathering from 1pm.)

Lunch: Available for purchase on a “pay‑what‑you‑can” basis (minimum £5).

Workshop Outline:

  • Reflective Writing Exercises – Warm‑up activities to get your thoughts flowing
  • Storytelling from the Archive – Listen to local stories and respond to a series of creative prompts
  • Creative Expression – Work in your preferred medium—develop a character, sketch, doodle, compose music, etc.
  • Open Sharing Space – Present anything you’ve discovered or created during the session.

Feel free to bring any materials you need for your art form. We look forward to exploring together!
