Self Care and Self Love is the theme for our first series of workshops for 2026. ‘Awakening ME’ – heal, recoup, recover and strengthen the body to increase your physical, spiritual and creative potential.
The classes will take shape around the theme of “Seven Limbs of Yoga” – The Yamas and The Niyamas. Each session will contain a short explanation/discussion, pranayama (breath practise) and an physical movement practise that can be done seated and/or seated and standing.
“The Yamas and Niyamas are the ethical foundation of yoga offering 10 guiding principles for living. The Yamas are five “don’ts” for interacting with the world: Non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, chastity, non-greed), focusing on our external relationships. The Niyamas are five “do’s” for self-discipline: Purity, contentment, austerity, self-study, surrender for internal growth, forming a path to mindfulness and a well-lived life. Ideal for 50+.
