The Haringey Health Champion programme supports positive health outcomes for Haringey’s diverse communities.
This helps giving a voice to individuals and communities with varying levels of access, awareness and knowledge of:
- healthcare information
- services
- referral routes
Role of our Health Champions
Health Champions are members of the community who work with voluntary, community and charity organisations to receive training on public health guidance and messaging.
They promote and provide trusted, accurate and up-to-date information on the latest health and wellbeing issues affecting our Haringey residents.
They know the latest information about:
- vaccinations
- local cancer screening services
- staying healthy
- losing weight
- moving more
- stopping smoking
- much more
The programme also provides opportunities for champions to connect with healthcare services and our public health team.
