How the panel works, members, benefits, how to join.
Scrutinising our services is all about making sure we meet the standards that we have promised their tenants and leaseholders.
The resident advisory panel (RAP) brings together residents across the borough living in homes owned and managed by us, to check and challenge how we operate.
The RAP replaced the resident scrutiny panel (RSP). It still has the key roles and responsibilities of scrutiny and is now integral to the community and resident engagement framework.
Resident advisory panel members choose the service areas that they want to look at. All members are provided with the necessary training and information to carry out their service reviews.
The panel uses a range of investigative activities to carry out their reviews including surveys, focus groups, interviews, document reviews, site visits and job shadowing. All findings and recommendations are collated and included in a review report.
The resident voice board will consider completed review reports.
