Money advice and budgeting tips
We know that the cost of living and higher heating bills can put a strain on your finances.
Setting a budget and prioritising essential bills such as Council Tax, rent, and other utilities is key to managing your money – especially over the winter when costs can go up.
To help you stay within your budget:
- track your spending: for a month, write down every purchase you make to help you understand where your money goes
- cut unnecessary expenses: cancel subscriptions and services you no longer use
- use cashback apps: earn cashback and take advantage of sales
- plan free activities: enjoy free, fun activities like walks – check our what's on calendar for ideas
- start saving: open a Credit Union account to start saving
