Many of us experience small repair problems from time to time. Our 'You can do it!' instructional videos will show you how to carry out minor do-it-yourself (DIY) jobs in your home.
How to prevent damp and mould
You will need:
- Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved mould spray
- cleaning cloths
How to change a bathroom light bulb
You will need:
- a secure stepladder
- a Phillips-head ("crosshead") screwdriver
- a 2D bathroom lightbulb (in most cases. Bring the old bulb to a DIY shop if you're not sure)
How to unblock a sink
You will need:
- a plunger
- 2 pieces of cloth
How to unblock a toilet
You will need:
- a toilet plunger
or
- a mop
- a plastic bin bag
- rubber gloves
What to do if you have no power
You will need:
- a securely erected ladder
