Aims and objectives, contact the team.

We are committed to investing £570m in renovating our council properties.

Estates renovation plan

In February 2026 we awarded 10-year contracts to 4 partners to help us deliver our priorities. Each partner has responsibility for works in a specific area as set out in the following table:

Partner contractors and works areas
Contractor Area Wards included in area
Equans Regeneration Ltd West Alexandra Park, Crouch End, Fortis Green, Highgate, Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Stroud Green
United Living (South) Ltd Central Bounds Green, Harringay, Noel Park, West Green, Woodside
Hugh LS McConnell Ltd East (south) Hermitage and Gardens, Seven Sisters, South Tottenham, St Ann’s, Tottenham Central, Tottenham Hale
Mulalley and Company Ltd East (north) Bruce Castle, Northumberland Park, White Hart Lane

The contracts will make sure that we can deliver best value for our tenants and leaseholders by:

  • streamlining and speeding up the procurement process
  • reducing back-office costs
  • creating economies of scale

They will also unlock hundreds of job and training opportunities for local people by employing apprentices and include local businesses in supply chains.

We have involved residents at every step of the process and will ensure they continue to shape the delivery of our renovation work.

Asset management strategy

Our housing asset management strategy 2023-2028  sets out the programmes and activities that will be funded to ensure the safety of all residents living in our homes.

These include bringing all council homes up to the Decent Homes Standard by March 2028, to improve the fire safety and energy efficiency of our council homes.

We plan to upgrade:

  • 987 homes in 2026/27
  • 1,772 homes in 2027/28
  • 1,929 homes in 2028/29

This will not only help reduce energy bills, but also support carbon reduction in Haringey in line with our aim to be net-zero carbon by 2041.

Also included in the strategy is a new section on damp and mould, as well as enhanced communication and resident engagement.
