Banding and allocations
When you register for social housing you should have been told what band you have been placed in for allocations:
- band A is for those applicants who have the most urgent or critical housing need
- band B is for those applicants who have a high priority housing need
- band C is for those applicants who have an identified housing need
Due to the massive demand for a limited supply of social housing almost all of the people allocated a property will be in band A or B.

How to use the map
- When you click on the button link on this page, the lettings map will appear.
- Once the map has appeared, you can click on any of the colour coded dots which show each letting that took place in Haringey. Hovering over this shows the information about that letting.
- The band effective date shows when the person who moved into that property joined the housing register.
- If you click anywhere else on the map it will unselect that property.
- By using the drop down boxes along the top of the map you can filter for specific wards, number of bedrooms and the lettings band to get more specific information based on your circumstances. You can do the same thing by clicking on any of the bits of the charts on the right hand side which you want to see. Clicking on it again will unselect that option.
- If you want to see an expanded set of search options you can click on “in more detail”. These work in the same way by clicking to select the option you want to view and clicking again to unselect it.
