Haringey Learns Courses

This course is for learners who want to work in the Adult Health and Social Care sector, it is also for those who may hold qualifications in their own country but need to develop their knowledge and vocational vocabulary for the U.K. sector. It is for learners at ESOL Level 1 or above.

For ESOL classes, please come to the Wood Green Library (2nd floor Reception) from the 28th of April to register for an appointment, to be assessed and interviewed by a tutor. There are limited interview slots. You will be placed on the waiting list and contacted when we can offer you a class.

The purpose of this course is to enable participant to get accustomed to using Digital Tools for work and everyday life.

This course is aimed at adults who wish to develop reading, writing and speaking and listening skills and undertake accreditation at Entry Level. The programme covers strategies to improve reading skill, sentence construction, planning and writing.

This course follows a Skills Bridge course and is aimed at adults who wish to develop reading, writing and speaking and listening skills and gain a Functional Skills qualification in English at Level 1.

This course is aimed at adults who wish to develop their maths skills and take accreditation in Functional Skills maths at Level 1 or Level 2.

This course is for adults aiming to enhance their Maths skills and earn a Level 1 Functional Skills qualification. While primarily held at Haringey Learns in Wood Green Library, you may be able to occasionally join remotely (via MS Teams) only if onsite attendance is not possible.

This AAT Bookkeeping course develops offers students the opportunity to develop an understanding of the basics of manual bookkeeping. It is a useful course for anyone wanting to explore a role or career in finance or business in either the private or public sectors.

The Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping provides an entry point for anyone wishing to start or progress their career in accountancy or finance. Studying this qualification will help students to develop a strong foundation of bookkeeping knowledge and skills needed to work in accountancy and finance.
