This corner of Tottenham High Road is symbolic for so many reasons, not least for the imposingly beautiful architecture of the Co-operative building.

There is over a century of stories about the people and places that have made, and continue to make, Tottenham Hotspur the club it is today.

Near this site once stood a row of 17th century almshouses, later replaced by one of the High Road’s most iconic shopping destinations.

In front of you are three of Tottenham High Road’s many historic buildings, each with their own story to tell - Tottenham Community Sports Centre, Moselle House, and the Baptist Church.

Many residents still remember this iconic building, now called The Trampery, by its original name – The Tottenham & District Gas Company.

From brewers, to bakers, to religious houses – this pocket of land is a glimpse into the diversity of Tottenham’s past and present.

Named after the Edwardian department store that once stood here, since the 1970s Ward’s Corner has been a vital social and cultural hub for Tottenham’s Latin American communities.

This street has witnessed many important innovators who, rooted in their communities, led the way and succeeded in building some of the most successful black enterprises in this country.
