Ready, Set, Read!

The 2023 Summer Reading Challenge is all set to kick off here in Haringey next Saturday (8 July 2023).

For this year’s challenge, The Reading Agency have teamed up with the Youth Sport Trust to inspire children to discover the power of sport and play through reading.

With free rewards to collect and plenty of brilliant books to enjoy, the Challenge is the perfect summer activity to keep young minds and bodies active over the holidays. Three tablets are also up for grabs for those Haringey children who complete the six-book challenge overall, with a prize draw taking place at the end of the school holidays.

The Summer Reading Challenge is going to be available in libraries across Haringey from next Saturday (8 July 2023) onwards. Find your nearest library on our website. NB: Both Highgate Library and Muswell Hill Library are currently closed for major refurbishment works, so residents are advised to use either the recently refurbished Alexandra Park Library or Hornsey Library instead.

Children can also take part online through the official Summer Reading Challenge platform: summerreadingchallenge.org.uk (external link).
