Since their last inspection, the school has successfully taken action to maintain its high standard of overall effectiveness.
Inspectors praised the passionate and highly dedicated staff, who foster a caring community that parents and carers value – particularly for its excellent communication and strong focus on academic success.
The report highlighted the quality of education which was reflected in outstanding academic outcomes. Pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), make excellent progress as they advance through the school.
A notable strength of Heartlands High School, which is part of the SEARCH Education Trust, is its exceptional support for pupils’ mental health and well-being. This enables them to make positive choices in both behaviour and learning. The school also offers an impressive range of extracurricular activities, including music, photography, basketball, debating, and cooking clubs.
Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools, and Families at Haringey Council, said:
Once again, we are celebrating a fantastic Ofsted report, showcasing the excellence of education in Haringey and the dedication of our inspirational teachers.
It’s especially rewarding to see teachers being recognised and praised for their hard work, with the school further investing in their development to help them further excel.
Education during these formative years has the power to shape young lives, providing children and young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive and succeed.
Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this incredible achievement.
Ann Graham, Director of Children Services at Haringey Council, said:
Heartlands High School continues to set a shining example of a caring, inclusive, and academically driven learning environment, equipping students with the skills and confidence they need for future success.
The hard work, passion and commitment shown by teachers, parents and students does not go unnoticed and this outcome is a reflection of this.
Heartlands High School was inspected under the new Ofsted framework which gives a rating for each area but not a single headline judgement.
