We are pleased the keys have been handed back to the owners of the Kurdish Community Centre.
The closure has had a significant impact on the local area and the wider community across Haringey.
We made a strong plea for the centre to be re-opened as quickly as possible and welcome the news that the police have now vacated the premises.
Representatives from the council have been on the ground on a daily basis to ensure concerns from residents are listened to and we have put measures in place to keep the area clean and safe for everyone.
The Kurdish community are an integral part of our borough, and our priority now is to ensure they and residents in the local area feel supported going forward.
