Following anti-social behaviour in Downhills Park, Haringey Council is taking strong action and our Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Emily Arkell, has issued this statement.

We are dismayed by the events that have been taking place in Downhills Park and want to reassure our residents that we’re taking every action we can to stop this anti-social behaviour from occurring.

The public health, safety and welfare of our park users is very important and we are doing what we can to catch the perpetrator of this disgusting and irresponsible conduct.

Working closely with the police, we’re putting in place strong measures. The police have increased their patrols in the park and our staff check all play equipment first thing every morning, ensuring it is cleaned and sanitised as a matter of urgency if an incident occurs.

We are proud of our green, open spaces and are determined to maintain them to the best possible standards.
