The theme for this year is ‘small actions for others’ and recognising the need to help each other.
Raising awareness for people suffering with Mental Health problems is a crucial issue and support is in place for people across London to talk about the challenges they are facing.
In Haringey, events range from mindfulness sessions, walks and much more to allow people to connect with one another.
Haringey’s Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Wellbeing, Cllr Lucia das Neves, said:
“Great Mental Health Day is a chance for all of us to focus on small actions for others and to create an even closer community.
“I look forward to seeing our residents take part in the range of fantastic events taking place and to keep raising awareness and helping one another tackle this crucial issue.”
Haringey’s Mental Health Champion, Cllr Sean O’Donovan, said:
“Mental health is so important, so I am very glad to see the depth and breadth of support that is available to all our residents. I encourage anyone who is concerned about their own mental health, or of someone they know, to access the help and support that is out there."
