The school has raised standards since its previous "Good" inspection, showcasing their commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.

The school's dynamic and challenging curriculum ensures that pupils excel at every stage. Teachers create a lively learning atmosphere, sparking discussions and empowering students to confidently share their ideas.

With an emphasis on communication and language development, Rokesly Junior School nurtures both knowledge and the ability to explain and debate effectively.

The support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) stood out as a key strength. These pupils work alongside their peers, receiving the necessary support to help them succeed.

The inspection also noted that teachers and teaching assistants collaborate closely to ensure full inclusion, utilising resources like picture icons and visuals to enhance language development. When pupils face learning challenges, they benefit from well-structured additional support to catch up, promoting high expectations and fostering independence for all.

Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools, and Families, said:

I am delighted with the report, which really captures the spirit of our unique school and our high ambition for all pupils.

It is a public endorsement of the hard work, energy and commitment of our pupils, staff team, parents and carers and entire school community, for which I am deeply grateful.  It is pleasing to see that, within a transforming educational landscape, there is such confidence in the attainment, progress, vision and future direction of our school.
