Haringey outshines London average on National Offer Day

An impressive 94% of pupils were offered a place at one of their top three secondary schools in Haringey, surpassing the London average of 90%.

The borough’s performance on National Offer Day outshone both the London average and neighbouring authorities.

Some 78.59% of Haringey pupils received their first-choice school placement - significantly higher than the London average of 71.6%. The borough also leads the way compared to neighbouring areas, including Hackney (76.65%), Islington (68.58%), Enfield (77.67%), and Barnet (72.42%).

In total, nearly 97% of Haringey pupils secured a spot at one of their top six choices, compared to the London average of 95%.

This is an outstanding result for our young people and their families. We are proud to stand out as a leader in ensuring the best possible outcomes for students.  Seeing so many children secure their preferred secondary schools is a powerful testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality education—and surpassing the London average makes it even more special.

With around 98% of our schools rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding,’ we’re proud to provide exceptional learning opportunities.

Starting secondary school is an exciting chapter, and we can’t wait to see our young learners embark on this journey and reach their full potential. We look forward to welcoming our new year seven students in September.
