While Ofsted no longer provides an overall grade, Haringey Learning Partnership secured the highest grades in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, Quality of Education, and the Sixth Form.

The report said: "The pupils who attend Haringey Learning Partnership receive a first-class education." This praise extends far beyond academic success, emphasising HLP’s dedication to nurturing the development of children in every aspect.

With a highly ambitious curriculum and consistently impressive pupil achievements, HLP ensures its students excel academically while also receiving exceptional emotional and social support - a key foundation of the school’s ethos. Inspectors praised this approach, noting that "staff use their considerable professional expertise to support pupils’ emotional and social development extremely well."

Many pupils who attend HLP have faced significant challenges, including extended absences from school or personal difficulties. The school immediately and carefully uncovers each pupil's unique needs, crafting a tailored curriculum to help them not only catch up but also thrive.

Nearly all pupils transitioning back to mainstream education achieve this successfully, while others leave HLP with strong GCSE and A-level results, progressing to college or university with confidence.

Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools, and Families, said:

We believe in the transformative power of education to change lives and open doors to brighter futures. HLP does exactly this.

We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their past challenges or barriers, receive the tailored support they need to catch up, grow, and succeed.

We are thrilled to see so many of our pupils not only reintegrate into mainstream education but also achieve outstanding results that enable them to pursue higher education with confidence and ambition.

Our partnership with HLP has changed lives and given vulnerable children the opportunity to thrive. Thanks to the incredible work from council staff developing this framework to teachers implementing it, our provision stands as a testament to resilience, determination and the unwavering dedication to unlock the full potential of every student.

Ann Graham, Director of Children Services at Haringey Council, said:

I am immensely proud of the incredible work being done at HLP to support children who have faced significant challenges in their lives.

HLP has shown that with the right support, guidance, care, passion and commitment, no goal is out of reach. This provision stands as a shining example of excellence and this report solidifies HLP as a leader among alternative provisions and showcases their extraordinary achievements.

Executive Headteacher, Gerry Robinson, said:

Over the last four and a half years, HLP has been on a journey to create the best possible outcomes for our young people. I want to thank our wonderful team of dedicated staff, and our wider network of parents and carers, external professionals, and community leaders who work tirelessly to ensure that HLP is an outstanding alternative provision.

Most importantly, I want to thank our incredible students, whose resilience, ambition, and commitment inspire us every day. Your hard work and determination make HLP the special place that it is, and we are immensely proud to be part of your journey.

In collaboration with Haringey Learning Partnership (HLP), the council implemented a formal framework to tackle youth challenges, including school exclusions, child criminal exploitation, and youth violence. Through this council led partnership, HLP has facilitated the provision of outreach support, early intervention, and alternative education for students struggling in mainstream schools due to health, behavioural, or other difficulties.
