Family Hub opens in Wood Green

Haringey families have even greater access to support and services following the opening of a brand-new Family Hub in the heart of Wood Green.
Family Hub Wood Green

Located at the Rising Green Youth Hub on Wood Green High Road, this marks the fourth and final hub of the council’s ambitious £3.4 million programme.

Bringing together a wide range of essential resources, the new Wood Green Family Hub offers universal and targeted services to parents, carers, children, and young people. Services include activities for 0-5 years, parent-infant relationship and perinatal mental health support, health visiting services, infant feeding support and speech and language development initiatives.

As the central hub, this new location operates under a hub-and-spoke model, collaborating with Woodside Children’s Centre, Stuart Crescent Health Centre, and Wood Green Library. Together, these sites deliver comprehensive support to meet families' diverse needs, encapsulating the 0-19 (or 25 for SEND) offer within a single, unified space.

A partnership with key organisations such as the NHS, VCSE, DadPad, Solihull/InOurPlace, and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation ensures that families receive integrated, high-quality care.

Each of these Family Hubs provide a universal ‘front door’ to services, acting as a one-stop shop for social care, education, and mental and physical health support. They’re also a space for professionals to co-locate, ensuring streamlined assistance for people across the borough

Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools & Families, said:

“Every child in our borough deserves the best possible start in life, and we are dedicated to supporting them every step of the way. We also recognise the vital role of providing enhanced support for parents, both individually and alongside their children.

“The new Family Hub in Wood Green exemplifies our commitment to creating accessible, inclusive, and impactful services for all Haringey residents. It offers a warm and welcoming space where families can access the essential support they need.

“The success of our existing Family Hubs has already demonstrated their positive impact on our community. We are confident that this additional hub will build on that success, providing much-needed resources to help parents and children lead happy, healthy lives.”

Ann Graham, Director of Children’s Services at Haringey Council, added:

"From the beginning of this programme, our vision has been to ensure that families in Haringey have seamless access to high-quality support. We are proud to have successfully brought this vision to life across four locations in the borough.

“Parents and children now have access to a wide range of services designed to support them through the many stages of life.

“We are incredibly proud of the achievements made possible through our partnerships and are excited to build on this success, continuing to deliver even more valuable support for our residents.”

This milestone follows the success of Haringey’s first three hubs: The Triangle in Tottenham (east), Muswell Hill Centre (west), and Eric Allin Centre in Northumberland Park (north). Together, these hubs stand as a testament to Haringey’s commitment to supporting families and communities.

Haringey’s Family Hubs are more than just locations - they’re a lifeline for families, paving the way for healthier, happier communities.
