DfE Recognises Children’s Services Colleagues at Buckingham Palace

Colleagues from our Children’s Services were recognised by the Department for Education Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace for their contributions to education.

Those nominated included Jackie Difolco, Director of Early Help, Prevention and SEND and Mary Jarrett, former Head of SEND who were nominated by the Department for Education for their leadership in SEND; Matthew Knight, Head of Youth Justice and Youth at Risk; and Christian Waugh, Education Officer for the Youth Justice Service who were nominated for their work within Youth Justice Services.

Karen Flannegan, our new Head of SEND, was also nominated for her work at Barnet Council.

Amanda, Chair of SEND Power Parent Carer Forum, was recognised for her work advocating for parents and carers of children with SEND.
