The Poppy Appeal runs until Remembrance Day and money raised goes towards the Royal British Legion’s welfare and benevolent work in support of serving and ex-service people and their families.

Cllr Mahbub says:

“As we approach Remembrance Day, I encourage everyone in Haringey to wear a poppy with pride and to support the Royal British Legion. The poppy is a powerful symbol of remembrance and hope, honouring those who gave their lives in service and those who continue to serve today. By wearing the poppy and contributing to the Poppy Appeal, we show our gratitude and help provide vital support to veterans and their families. Together, let us remember and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.”

Poppies and donation boxes can be found in Haringey’s libraries, and on the reception desk of Alexandra House and George Meehan House.
