The Government is asking for views on national changes to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support. These changes will shape the SEND White Paper, expected in Spring, which will set out plans for future laws and improvements to SEND services across England.

Although this is a national consultation, the decisions made will affect how SEND support is delivered locally in the future. This is your chance to use your voice to help influence national policy that will impact local services in Haringey.

What is a White Paper?

A White Paper is a government document that explains proposals for new laws and changes. In this case, it will outline how SEND provision will be reformed nationally.

Why is this important?

Your views will help inform these proposals. Parents, carers, young people, professionals, and anyone with an interest in SEND are encouraged to take part.

How you can participate

Some events take place after the consultation closes.

Responses must be submitted by 14 January 2026.
