The day focused on tackling crime, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving the local environment.
Cabinet Member for Communities Cllr Ajda Ovat joined our service teams for a door knocking session across Northumberland Park and Rothbury Walk.
These face-to-face interactions allowed Cllr Ovat, who is also a ward Cllr for Northumberland Park, and council officers to hear firsthand from residents any concerns or issues they’re experiencing in the local area.
Another door-knocking session took place across Altair Close, Bennetts Close, Stellar House and The Lindales in the afternoon.
There was also a repairs surgery in the Neighbourhood Resource Centre (NRC), while council officers from our Estates and Resident Engagement, Neighbourhoods and Tenancy service teams undertook inspections on an estate walkabout of Blaydon Close and Morpeth Walk.
Thank you to our residents for engaging with us, as well as our community and Metropolitan Police partners, during our Day of Action.
Together, we can build an even better, cleaner, fairer, greener and safer Northumberland Park.
