For teachers
- If you're worried about a child, encouraging them to talk can be very helpful. This advice from the NHS (external link) is highly recommended by our Early Years services.It offers tips on communicating in a family-friendly way and can be passed on to parents.
- If you would like some advice on how to put children’s wellbeing at the heart of your practice, the Foundation Years offers a free online guidance (external site), including recordings of live sessions.
- If you work with children under 5, this webpage from the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (external site) includes useful information for this age group. The layout makes it accessible to parents/ caregivers, so is also recommended for sharing with families.
For families
Haringey's Educational Psychology Service (EPS) has developed a great resource that includes a tips and facts about why play and interaction are important and can be shared with families.
