CIL spend and Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS)

Part of: Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

Haringey CIL is spent in accordance with relevant legislation and our CIL Governance document, as follows:

  • 5% is spent on the administrative expenses we incur when collecting and spending CIL
  • 15% is spent on Neighbourhood CIL (NCIL) projects – these are projects identified in consultation with local neighbourhoods. The 15% figure increases to 25% in areas where there is an adopted neighbourhood plan
  • the remaining 70-80% of CIL is spent on Strategic CIL (SCIL) projects

Mayoral (Mayor of London) CIL is spent by the Mayor to fund roads or other transport facilities, for example, Crossrail.

Reports and statements

Haringey’s CIL collection and spending is reported on an annual basis in our Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS). The IFS also contains the same information in regard to S106 planning obligations.
