Alternative educational provision

Access Creative College [ACC] is the UK’s largest national independent training provider with 30 years of experience in educating creative 16-18 and 19+ year-olds. The college, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2022, has over 4500 learners studying at campuses in Birmingham, Bristol, Lincoln, London, Manchester, Norwich and Plymouth. 

Pupils study a range of subjects both in KS3 and in KS4, with an emphasis on reading, literacy and numeracy skills. 

Big Creative Academy value the ambitions of their learner and aim to drive it forward with a focus on wellbeing and character education, delivered through a dedicated programme and a series of workshops which truly transforms lives.

They celebrate diversity and champion identity and continue to work as a best practice school for LGBTQ+. 

The Boxing Academy offers an education pathway for students between the ages of twelve and sixteen who need an alternative to mainstream. Originally launched in Tottenham,  now located in Hackney.

Their unique model offers intense mentoring and support for young people, placing them in a class of eight students with a dedicated boxer who acts as mentor, teacher support and coach throughout their stay with us. They develop a strong relationship that provides a foundation from which the student can embark upon a positive cycle of achievement.

City & Islington offer A Levels, vocational courses (diplomas, certificates and awards, including BTECs, University of the Arts London, City & Guilds and more), and Higher Education courses (HNC, HND, Foundation Degree and Bachelor’s Degree). From September 2023, they started providing T Level courses.

The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) has provided education to people in and around Haringey and Enfield since 1828, officially forming the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London on 1 August 2009. CONEL provides an exceptional education to its students, equipping them with the skills they need for their future, with two superb centres in North London, located in Tottenham and Enfield, offering an extensive range of academic and vocational courses for all 16-18-year-olds and adult learners. 

The King's Cross centre offers a wide range of courses for ages 16-18, including A Levels, as well as a huge variety of Vocational Courses and technical qualifications, many of which are also suitable for adult learners.

Our King’s Cross Centre also has a large Foundation Learning provision for students with learning difficulties.

Caramel Rock is a fashion and creative arts education charity based in Newham, London, providing training and opportunities. 

Caramel Rock have a strong belief in shaping the lives of future leaders and  offer, in every course, a personal development plan, as well as helping young people.

Education can take place in the learner’s home, at an outreach centre or in any public setting where the learner will feel safe, secure and comfortable. Their main office is in North London but staff are available to work with students all around the UK.

A full assessment is carried out to devise a customised timetable, focused on building on the learner’s strengths and areas of interest whilst methodically tackling their challenges and gaps in learning.
