Stroke association

The Stroke Association supports individuals in rebuilding their lives after a stroke. They offer specialist support, fund research, and advocate for ensuring the best care and support for stroke survivors.

Syndromes Without a Name (SWAN) UK Charity

SWAN UK is the UK's only dedicated support network for families affected by undiagnosed genetic conditions, often called syndromes without a name (SWAN).

The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005 is an important law for people with a learning disability who are 16 or older. The MCA is designed to protect and empower people who may lack the mental capacity to make their own decisions about their care and treatment.

Haringey Sensory Support Team – Vision

The Vision Support Team consists of specialist advisory teachers (QTVIs), a specialist support worker, and a Habilitation Specialist (mobility and independent living skills) who offer a range of support for children and young people with a diagnosis of vision impairment.

They work in all Haringey mainstream educational settings and become involved with families and children from their diagnosis, often as young babies.

Their work includes supporting and advising teaching staff, families, and carers throughout a child’s educational journey.
